Final year students traditionally have a high workload. They have several projects to complete and at the end of it all, they are not sure how to integrate what they have learned.
Instead of having separate final year IT and business projects, the Integrated Infocomm Project aims to synthesize the knowledge and experience from several related modules. The Integrated Infocomm Project is an initiative by the Business Information Technology department in the School of Business and Accountancy of Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
Students have responded well to this approach. They are positive about the connection with real company issues, problem-based learning and how it gives them a better understanding of the interplay between business and IT knowledge.
