Computer-Based Simulation for Teaching Water Reclamation and Fire Safety Management

One of the challenges that students face with having to learn about the facilities management is the inability to visualize the processes that are being taught in class as they have limited access to “back of house” facilities in actual buildings.  The Diploma of Sustainable Urban Design & Engineering and Diploma in Hotel and Leisure Facilities Management in the School of Design & Environment worked with Office of Learning Technology to develop a realistic workplace environment to  enable students to better “see” how their content can be applied and used in contexts that are based on real situations.   Click on the link below to read more about this development.
