The teaching team from the InfoComm Sales and Marketing (ISnM) specialisation in the Diploma in Information Technology developed a teaching framework that focusses on engaging and motivating students through “Learning by Doing”, “Learning with increasing Autonomy” and “Learning with others”. Their belief is that motivation and ultimately passion for the content can be developed if students are engaged and participative in the learning process. In addition, the teaching team also worked with industry partners to design learning experiences that are authentic and real-world so that students can gain an early exposure to the industry through these projects. The interactions with industry enable students to develop professional skills and attitudes that further deepen their passion for this specialisation.
